Minami-Boso, Chiba Prefecture ・ I will report on surfing mainly at Hirasunaura.
The main video we will upload is " THE MERA" waves. Since there are usually no waves at this point, we record the big waves that break due to typhoons and large low pressure systems.


What is "THE MERA" surf spot in Minami-Boso, Chiba Prefecture-
Local big wavers and professionals have challenged it for many years, and the local people have watched and cherished it together. The point is only open for a session once a year. The direction of the swell and the wind rarely coincide with each other, so that a session is held only once a year. On the ocean floor, there is a reef called "Oni no washing rock. The breaking waves are different from those at the points where we usually enter, and the volume and power of the waves are so large that it is obvious from the appearance. The surrounding scenery is the horizon with a view of the Izu Islands, large rocks, tetrapods, and breakwater walls. The entry point is also a distance away, so it is not easy to get in and out. It is a left break that requires strength and courage for the surfer to take on the challenge, and skill and confidence to ride the waves.


★ Regarding your opinion on the videos we publish...
In October 2013, we received valuable feedback and have edited the explanations in our previously posted videos. One is about the mention of personal names. We have removed it and will no longer include it. The second is the mention of the name of the point of reference. This one will be introduced as "THE MERA". There are many different opinions about surf points, and I think we all share the same desire to "cherish and protect" them over the years. If you have any comments or suggestions, we would be happy to hear from you as much as possible. We will continue to record and publish the great wave of "the MERA".


★ Regarding the image quality problem you pointed out...
The images uploaded when the weather at the time of shooting was cloudy or backlit will be harder to see than the original images. Please understand that I have not studied enough with the current knowledge ・ of the technology ；
Since the images are freehand, there may be some blurriness in the images.
